Q. I wonder would you consider commenting on the precious metals, gold and silver, as well as in general about the commodity cycles with the economic cycles. In particular, what about the fiat currency future and the ever non stop debate of inflation or deflation cycles that we are having or going to have in the next few years.

Q. As far as I know you have never presented a horoscope for the U.S. FDA. Would you by any chance have such a chart? It is relevant now because the FDA is hell bent on destroying all our freedom to be healthy. They now have a proposed set of guidelines, which they introduced on July 1st, to try to ban as many nutritional supplements as they can.
re: economy - June was looking grim for the US ecomomy until last week when the Greek debt crisis was smoothed over and Wall Street took off on a tear. I'm thinking the optimism is premature since Saturn is still squaring the US Sun as well as the worldwide influence of Pluto square Uranus. I did notice Jupiter in Taurus is opposite the ascendant in the Scorpio rising US chart you favor. Perhaps the optimistic feeling is short-lived since the Saturn, Pluto, and Uranus transits last much longer than the Jupiter effect.
more on the economy - Now, we are watching the slow demise of the capitalized world. Yes, it will fall, the question before us is whether it will be a slow demise or a CRASH heard round the world. That has yet to be determined. But Greece will go into bankrupt sooner or later, I predict much sooner than most of us anticipate. My sincere suggestion is that you visit Bill Herbst's website and read the two articles he has posted there in PDF form this month as well as some of the older essays he has written on global events and the economy both past and present.

re: Federer - I just looked at Federer natal chart and couldn't believe that someone with this kind of fame and success is born with the Sun in house XII and doesn't even have one planet in house X!
A. Well, he is a Leo, and it's hard to keep a strong Leo out of the limelight. Notice that he has a formidable Jupitrer-Saturn in the 2nd house of money closely trine the MC. This helps build his career and promises financial security (wealth even) in the process.

Norway’s Horoscope
The United Nations has consistently ranked Norway at or near the top of the world’s most developed nations in terms of both prosperity and quality of life. When an insane political and religious extremist terrorized Oslo last week, the peaceful nation was thrown into shock and horror, followed by many questions about what went wrong. Norway’s horoscope* (June 7, 1905; 11:00 am; Oslo) offers some clues.
Norway’s Sun-Pluto conjunction in the tenth house defines its leadership as a constitutional monarchy, with the Leo Moon likewise reflecting a population accustomed to being ruled by a king. With Saturn conjunct the South Node in Pisces, religious fundamentalism (traditional Christianity) represents the nation’s past and something to overcome. Several planets and the Virgo Ascendant favorably aspect the North Node, which has facilitated Norway’s modern evolution.
The last time Norway experienced such violence was during World War II, a traumatic phase that began when the Nazi war machine invaded Oslo on April 9, 1940. At the time, Norway’s progressed Midheaven opposed natal Uranus, upsetting their neutral status. Also, progressed Juno conjoined natal Pluto during the occupation years, showing how Norway made an uneasy alliance with Hitler’s henchmen. Mercury, the nation’s ruling planet, entered the secretive 12th house as Norway fielded an active resistance movement.
Currently, Norway’s progressed Mars is opposing Norway’s Sun/Pluto. On Friday, when the homegrown terrorist targeted Oslo, transiting Mars was opposite Norway’s Pluto and activating the June 15th Lunar Eclipse. Also, transiting Neptune and Chiron are hovering around Neptune’s karmic Saturn in Pisces, suggesting an idealization of the past, and the psychological suffering about its loss. Over the coming years, Norway’s progressed Mars will oppose natal Pluto, indicating that political extremism and violence will remain challenging problems.

August’s Top Five Astro-events
1. Mercury turns retrograde on the 2nd and re-enters Leo on the 8th, after which many will re-think their assumptions and large-scale plans. The 16th-17th are good days to reconnect with old friends and lovers (as Mercury conjoins Venus). Watch out for pseudo-intellectuals, obsessive thinking, over-analysis, and business and political maneuvering when Mercury is trioctile Pluto from the 20th to 31st.
2. A Grand Cross involving Juno, Mars, Uranus and Pluto unfolds between the 8th and 10th. This combo is so intense that it’s in effect from the 1st through 13th. Expect short tempers, abrupt and sudden separations, explosions, betrayal, turf wars, terrorism, behavior motivated by revenge, hyper-defensiveness, ultimatums and heated confrontations. Alliances and partnerships (including marriages) are severely tested.
3. Saturn aligns with the U.S. Sun-Saturn square this month, a key check-up and consolidation phase for the nation. This third passage of Saturn over this important point concludes a major management ordeal, testing to see if American institutions - political, corporate, judicial, and military - are solid enough to plan for the future. The weakest areas (notably, financial) get the most attention.
4. The Full Moon on August 13th reflects a Sun-Venus conjunction in playful, creative Leo. The Sun and Venus are traveling together for much of August, but generate an especially romantic, fun-loving, and playful phase from the 13th to 19th. This Full Moon is also aligned with Neptune, allowing for some great vacations and fantasies, but watch out for excessive intoxication and deception in romantic matters.
5. Jupiter turns retrograde in Taurus on the 30th, and continues backward through Christmas. Geopolitically and personally, this four-month phase can bring a heightened sense of lack, with just not enough money and resources to go around. The 28th and 29th are power days, marking especially favorable days for taking profits, making prudent investments, or signing business deals.
Amy Winehouse’s Progressed Lunar Return
Troubled singer Amy Winehouse joined a select group of music legends last week when she died of an apparent drug overdose at age 27. Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, and Kurt Cobain all died at 27 of drug related problems near the peak of their careers. For Ms. Winehouse, her abrupt demise came as no surprise since her downward spiral has been widely televised.
Amy Winehouse was born with a prominent and much afflicted Neptune (September 14, 1983; London; time unknown), the natural ruler of drugs and alcohol. Neptune squares her Virgo Sun and conjoins her Sagittarius Moon. Neptune shows up as a fateful problem area by its conjunction with the karmic South Node. Neptune here describes a tremendous drag on her ability to grow as a human being.
Vesta conjunct her North Node shows the way to evolve, to move toward a more fulfilling and focused lifestyle. Vesta here describes a shift toward mental clarity and honest communication. However, moving from the South Node to the North Node requires emotional maturity. Everyone experiences a progressed Lunar Return at age 27, which marks a critical transition point in the emotional growth cycle. One either makes it here or not.
The June 15 Lunar Eclipse changed Amy’s life, since it aligned with her natal Moon-Neptune. At the time, she was preparing for her comeback European tour. Three days later, during the opening night in Belgrade, she was visibly drunk and/or stoned. She was booed off the stage and she cancelled the rest of her tour to re-enter rehab. Last week, when transiting Mars activated that Lunar Eclipse and her natal Moon-Neptune, she fell off the world stage.
