could be used as the birth moment for the U.S. version of Dancing with the Stars. The format had already been successfully tested in the U.K., and after the huge success in the U.S., the show sprouted dozens of imitations across the global village. But the most-watched, most anticipated version was the one that premiered during the summer of 2005.

Primarily, the Sun trines beneficial, enthusiastic Jupiter, located at 8º in the partnership sign of Libra. This established the show's quick-paced, story-telling format (Gemini) involving the pairing of a celebrity with a professional dancer (Jupiter in Libra). The Gemini influence can also be seen in the many dances that each celebrity must master, along with the pre- and post-dance commentaries from judges, the celebrities themselves, and the many news stories, blogs, and fan sites that arose along with the show's success. The DWTS Saturn is in the family-values sign of Cancer. With Scorpio Rising, DWTS is a sexy show. Although billed as family entertainment, the colorful costumes worn by the dancers are often risqué, revealing, and prone to malfunctioning. The dance moves themselves are more than suggestive of sexual intimacy, sometimes actually simulating a variety of sexual acts. The judges encourage raunchy choreography, although elder judge Len Goodman has been known to wag a finger at the more outrageous moves. He once docked a point from professional dancer Edyta Sliwinska for a jaw-dropping leg lift, and warned her not to do that anymore.
